Here's a little bit about me, my interests, hobbies, and a few of the places I've been.

I'm a Designer & former T.A. with experience in Graphic, Product, Print, and Motion Design. I enjoy diving deep into design problems and working hard at developing thoughtful solutions. In my work, I emphasize collaboration, iterative design, and making meaningful improvements from feedback.

What am I listening to?

I really enjoy listening to music while I'm working or gaming. I could provide a long list of all the bands and songs that I've been listening to lately, but I'm a clever-ish guy, so instead of doing that, here's a bunch of embedded Spotify tracks.

What am I playing?

A lot of my spare time is spent playing videogames with my two brothers or my friends. I play a wide variety of games and am always looking for something new to play.

The first games I remember playing are Halo 2 with my uncle on the Xbox and Gran Turismo 4 with my older brothers for the PS2. I'm still a fan of those games today, they hold a special place with me.

What am I reading?

I've been reading a lot of Dune recently. Other than that, I've been trying to read through World War Z but it's been taking me a long time. It's such a dense book it can sometimes feel punishing to read.

What am I watching?

Me and my brothers like watching movies, but we've always had problems figuring out what to watch next. So, in order to solve this problem, we've developed what we call "The Wheel". Every time we find a new movie that we want to watch, I add it to The Wheel. Then, come movie time, we spin the wheel and watch whatever movie comes up.

It's a very good system. We've added a lot of classics to the list that we've never seen before. I really enjoyed Goodfellas, Tombstone, Pulp Fiction and The Blues Brothers.

What am I up to?

I have been working freelance and working on my website/portfolio in my spare time. Most of my days are spent in Figma & Illustrator.

I consider my website my magnum opus, at least for now. It's the largest personal project I have ever worked on.

Some fun stuff that I like to do in my free time

Hey, I'm Daniel

After completing Sheridan College's Visual Creative Arts program and a brief stint as a TA, I was recommended Sheridan’s Digital Product Design program. During this time I gained valuable insight into the product design process and had the chance to work a bunch of cool people. There were many new challenges that came with working in product design, but working through them was super satisfying, and I always learn best from a challenge.

I like to keep mildly busy. When I'm not working, I can usually found playing videogames with my two brothers, testing the limits of my computer with illustrator, reading through my extensive collection of Dune novels, listening to my vinyl collection, or learning how to cook something.
